Minister of cultural heritage, tourism, and handcrafts Dr. Ali Asghar Mounessan mentioned three Mazandarani musical masters in a letter to Ahmad Hosseinzadegan the governor of Mazandaran state for declaring the names of Master Abolhassan Khoshrou (living national heritage and the only Mazandarani epic singing master), Master Lotfollah Seifi Besheli (living national heritage and resuscitator of Gharane making, a traditional flute) and Mohamadreza Es'haghi, in the list of Iran intangible cultural heritage's infrequent working masters.
Abolhassan Khoshrou is a veteran musician and singer from Mazandaran, a graduate of the Tehran Institute of Arts. Inspired by the style of the masters of the region, including Master Nezam Shekarchiyan and Safia al-Din Mohammadi, he experienced the whispers of the Catouli, etc. He later turned to sing. The veteran artist, who also had a first-class artistic badge, died in 2019.
Mohammad Es'haghi is a dotar player and currently one of the main Mazandaran's eastern side musical and verbal grammar knowledgeable people in his state. Es'haghi is also the last dotar maestro in Mazandaran.
Lotfollah Seifi Besheli is a Tombak player, Sorna, Gharane, and Naghare player. He has shown his musical skills with Shawash and Amir Pazouki's groups. Seifi has participated in various festivals and won the first place as the soloist of Gharane as the creator and reviver of this instrument.
