Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Abbas Salehi has appointed the director of Institute for Development of Contemporary Arts Mahdi Afzali as the new managing director of the Rudaki's Arts and Culture Foundation, the ministry announced on Tuesday.
Afzali replaced Ali-Akbar Safipour who took the position in 2016.
Rudaki's Arts and Culture Foundation, as one of the major custodians of music, is tasked with supervising the Tehran Symphony Orchestra and Iran’s National Orchestra as well as arranging the performance scheduled of the orchestras both in the country and overseas.
