Enjoying its third international screening, ‘Umbra’ will take part in the competition section of Festival Silhouette de Paris from August 24 to September 1.

Directed by Saeid Jafarian, 'Umbra' is about a young woman who realizes a few minutes after midnight that her partner has gone missing. Worried, she goes out to seek her partner in the darkness of the streets.

Founded in 2002, Silhouette is an annual film festival dedicated to showcasing short films to a large audience.

According to the festival’s website, all the films screened open air are running for the Public Award, while the official competition and the parallel line-up (screened indoor) are running for the Jury Award and the Student Jury Award

‘Umbra’ had previously taken part at Cinéfondation section of the 71st Cannes Film Festival, which is dedicated to young filmmakers.
