“The Idea” features 20 photographs of landscapes and portraits taken by Imazh Photography Group.

It displays the artists’ vision about nature and social life in Iran. The landscape photos cover waterfalls, desert, mountains and wheat fields while the portraits show people in different provinces, from the earthquake victims in Kermanshah to a street vendor in north Tehran.

A 7.3 magnitude quake struck the western province of Kermanshah and regions bordering Iraq last November. The natural disaster killed at least 500 people, injured more than 10,000 and left several thousand homeless. Post-earthquake reconstruction is slow and many survivors in the region still suffer from lack of basic needs, namely a proper roof over their heads.

Photographers in the show include Majid Taherian, Zahra Shah-Hosseini, Majid Ansari, Nasim Hamoon, Marzieh Samandari and Amin Ashtari.

The venue is located at No. 28, Allahverdi-Azar Alley, Neshat crossroad, Dowlat St off Shariati Street.
