The photos are from the collections of Iranian photographers Zahra Hozuri and Mehdi Taqavi, who have accumulated them over several years of hiking and mountaineering in Iran, Iran’s Islamic Culture and Relations Organization announced on Saturday.

The exhibit, which opened on Friday, is part of Iran’s Cultural Days underway in different locations across Manila.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibit, Iran’s cultural attaché Mohammad Jafari-Malek said that Iran enjoys all four beautiful seasons.

“The photos on display are only a small portion of the beauty of a country with over 2500 years of civilization,” he added.

The executive director of Philippines’ National Parks Development Committee, Penelope D. Belmonte, who also attended the opening ceremony, expressed her hope that the exhibit would help introduce Iran to the people of her country.

Film screening sessions at the Philippine Women’s University, as well as live music concerts and painting exhibitions in several venues across the city, are among the programs offered at the event.

The program has been organized in collaboration with the Philippine-Iran Women’s Friendship Society as well as the National Parks Development Committee in Manila.

The cultural festival has been organized to celebrate the establishment of the Friendship Society of Filipino Iranian Women.
