Core of the theatrical work refers to the similarity of human life despite differences. Live music performance by the famous Italian composers Tiziano Popoli accompanied the play.

It tells the story of two men with two suitcases from different backgrounds, bound to live with each other in one place. After a bitter fight, the two men decide to divide in half the land they live on by erecting a border.

The separation line divides and protects them as they go about building their own worlds.

The award winning play is a joint production between Italian company Lasocieta della Civetta and Iranian theater group Nan-o-Aroosak (Bread and Doll). It has been staged earlier in Italy, Romania, Germany, South Korea and Iran.

It has won the special jury prize at the 27th edition of the National Theatre Festival in Bucharest, Romania, in 2017.

Omid Niaz, 39, founded the theatrical troupe Nan-o-Aroosak in Isfahan and began his career in 2003. So far he has directed 35 plays.

Director and actor Guglielmo Papa turned his works toward developing an original theatrical language for younger generation and children’s theater by founding Lasocieta della Civetta in 2007.

The collaborative play is slated to be performed in Switzerland, Croatia and Serbia later this year.
