Five oil paintings by the modernist painter, which have been preserved among the palace’s rare and exquisite items, are on display.

Daryabeigi is well known in Iran’s conceptual art community. His paintings, largely about abstract and infinite landscapes, are in pale colors. His artworks were recently put up for sale at an auction in Tehran.

He was part of an innovative generation of modern art movement in Iran during the 1950’s and 1960’s, which was pioneered by painter Marcos Grigorian  and carried forward by master artists including calligrapher and painter Hossein Zenderoudi, neo-traditional sculptor Parviz Tanavoli and avant-garde painter Zhazeh Tabatabai.
