The concerts are slated for April 19-20 at Vahdat Hall.The repertoire of the concerts includes ‘Elegie Opus 24’ and ‘Apres un Reve’ (After a Dream), both pieces arranged for cello and orchestra composed by French composer, organist and pianist Gabriel Faure (1845-1924). Symphony No. 2 by French composer, organist, pianist and conductor Camille Saint-Saens (1835-1921) will be performed. Les Preludes, the third symphonic poem of Hungarian pianist and composer Franz Liszt (1811-1886) is also included, as well as the Hungarian March by French composer Hector Berlioz (1803-1869). Memarzadeh, 45, conducted the Tehran Symphony Orchestra at an earlier event in Tehran last spring.Vahdat Hall is located on Shahryar Blvd., Hafez Street, south of Enqelab Avenue.
