On show for two months are 60 pieces of white and blue glazed potteries, some belonging to Iran’s Safavid (1501-1736) and Qajar (1785-1925) dynasties and some are from China’s Ming dynasty (1368–1644), Honaronline reported.
The relics are from the personal pottery collection of archeologist and painter, Mohsen Moghadam (1900-87), who founded the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran. He designed the logo of University of Tehran, which is still in use. The logo represents an image of seals belonging to the Sassanid period (224–651).
The museum, mostly known as Moghadam House, is a luxurious house dating back to Qajar period. It belonged to Ehtesab-ol-Molk, who was one of the officials of Qajarid king, Nasser al-Din Shah. He left the house for his son Moghadam.
