The film received the award during the closing ceremony of the event on Saturday, announced the Qom branch of the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, which produced the movie in collaboration with the Izmir Municipality.

The story of the movie is set in the 1980s when a teacher teaches the students what freedom is and how to stand up against injustice.

Iranian films “Compatriot” by Mahtab Soleimani, “Pink” by Mahbubeh Mohammadzaki and “Release from Heaven” by Ali Nuri Oskouei were also screened at the festival that is organized by the Human Rights Film Center in Katmandu.

Iranian filmmaker and writer Zohreh Zamani, who is also the director of the Anzali branch of the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, was a member of the festival jury.
