The seminar is slated for July 21 and organizers have called for submission of articles by July 11, according to the website of Written Heritage Research Center (mirasmaktoob.ir).

Persian culture and language, and foreign cultures and languages comprise the two main sections of the seminar, organized and funded by the Kharazmi Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, a private institution with experts in assessment of research articles, including in the fields of language and literature.

Contemporary literature, literary fiction, literature for children and young adults, comparative literature and interdisciplinary subjects, typology and history of literature, linguistics and grammar, translation, pragmatics and discourse analysis, are among the topics for discussion.

Other topics recommended are language for special purposes; language, literature and ideology; culture, communication and identity; intercultural communication, innovation in language learning; critical thinking in language learning; literature as social discourse; narrative; and language, literature and global peace.  

Seyed Reza Jafari, 31, who is an engineer by profession, heads the institute. The seminar will be held at Farhangian Conference Hall, located near Baghtakht intersection.

The institute opened in 2014 and its activities are research-oriented.
