New Year in Tehran is celebrated by the Christian community and many others. Most of Christians are Iranian Armenians who celebrate New Year. With the arrival of Christmas season, Iranian Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ as well.
On New Year’s eve,Sunday, a group of Iranian Christians and Muslims convened in the Armenian Church in Tehran to celebrate centuries-old friendship and co-existence. The ceremony was organised by the International Center for Development of Sisterhood between Cities in Iran.
Just like the rest of the world, Iran and its Christian communities are getting themselves prepared to welcome the 2018 New Year with great festivities and programs.
