  • A new music concert, dubbed Nasser Cheshmazar Love Ballads, was performed at the Milad Tower on Saturday night. Singers Hamid Hami, Mehdi Yaghmaei, the Seven music band, and pianists Rana Cheshmazar and Reza Tajbakhsh accompanied maestro Armin Gheitasi’s December 22 program.

  • Sunday saw the funeral procession for popular musician Nasser Cheshmazar from Vahdat Hall. Cheshmazar, a prominent Iranian composer who was best known for his memorable album “Rain of Love” and theme music for over 20 movies, died of a heart attack on Friday. He was 68.
