TEHRAN.(HONARONLINE) - A Persian translation of Italian writer Leonardo Sciascia's ''The Council of Egypt'' has come into the Iranian bookstores.Now is the publisher of the book rendered by Mehdi Sahabi.
Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art held a session to review translations of Mehdi Sahabi on November 23.
The specialized meeting to review the paintings and sculptures of Mehdi Sahabi with lectures by Zeinab Golestani, Pejman Nazarzadeh Abkenar, and Kianoosh Bagheri was held on Tuesday, at the Museum of Contemporary Art.
Works of the late painter, sculptor, writer and translator Mehdi Sahabi (1944-2009), are on show at Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art.
On Tuesday 26 October 2021, press conference of an exhibition reviewing the works of Mehdi Sahabi with the presence of Ehsan Aghaei Director of Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, Mozhde Tabatabaie Art Curator and Sohrab Ahmadi Curator of the literary section of the exhibition was held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tehran.
A collection of artworks by late Iranian translator, painter, and writer Mehdi Sahabi is in view in the Mojdeh Gallery. Entitled After Ten Years, the show runs until 29 November. Mehdi Sahabi (4 February 1944 in Qasvin (Iran) – November 9, 2009 in Paris (France)), translated novels originally in English, French, and Italian into Persian. His translation of Marcel Proust's In Search of Lost Time, which he spent 11 years on, is considered his finest. He also translated Gustave Flaubert's Madame Bovary and Sentimental Education, Charles Dickens' David Copperfield; All Men are Mortal by Simone de Beauvoir, Stendhal's The Red and the Black, The Baron in the Trees by Italo Calvino and Louis-Ferdinand Céline's Death on Credit.
Atbin Gallery has opened its doors to a art show by Mehdi Sahabi until 15 May.
