Ismail Hakki

  • In this year’s edition of Fajr festival, Turkish musicians Erkan Ogur and Ismail Hakki played for an audience at Vahdat Hall in Tehran. Ogur is regarded as a master of kopuz and baglama, types of lute that are used in Turkish and Iranian music. Over his 34-year musical career, Ogur, 63, has produced over ten albums, most of which feature a fusion of Turkish and Western music.
