Iran Cinema Celebration

  • TEHRAN.(HONARONLINE) –The Iranian House of Cinema will not be holding the 22nd edition of the Iran Cinema Celebration like previous years, while it plans to spend the costs for its members instead.

  • The 21th Iran Cinema Celebration was held Friday night at Milad Tower Conference Hall. A number of filmmakers, artists and officials from the Cinema Organization of Iran were part of the summer event. The Warden picked as Best Film and The Lost Strait by Bahram Tavakkoli winning the most awards.

  • A House for You directed by Mehdi Bakhshi Moghaddam has won the award for best feature documentary at the 11th Independent Celebration of Iranian Documentary Cinema, which is part of the Iran Cinema Celebration. The Iranian House of Cinema organizes the Iran Cinema Celebration every year to commemorate the National Day of Cinema, which is September 12. However, this year’s celebration will be held on August 30 due to its coincidence with the Muharram mourning season.

  • TEHRAN. (HONARONLINE) – A House for You directed by Mehdi Bakhshi Moghaddam has won the award for best feature documentary at the 11th Independent Celebration of Iranian Documentary Cinema, which is part of the Iran Cinema Celebration.

  • The organizers of the 21st Iran Cinema Celebration honored four influential figures in Iranian cinema for their lifetime achievements in a special ceremony on Tuesday night. Stage and screen actor Akbar Zanjanpour, makeup artist Bijan Mohtashem, sound engineer Hassan Zahedi and director Sirus Alvand received lifetime achievement awards during the ceremony organized at the Eyvane Shams Hall.

  • The 19th Iran Cinema Celebration was held at Eyvan Shams hall in Tehran. This year the organisers honoured Sirous Ebrahimzadeh, Kianoush Ayyari and Hassan Alizadeh. Mohammad Hassan Khoshnevis received a lifetime achievement award during the Sunday gathering, which was attended by several artists.
