Aydin Aghdashloo

  • TEHRAN. (HONARONLINE) – Aydin Aghdashloo is an Iranian painter, graphist, writer and film critic. He was decorated with the Chevalier (Knight) award by the French government for his civil achievements.

  • The Iranian Artists Forum played host to a ceremony on 27 September to honor Iranian painter and a professor of art, Mohsen Vaziri-Moghaddam. The program was co-hosted by the Association of Iranian Sculptors, his family, Aydin Aghdashloo and Hamid Shans. Vaziri-Moghaddam (May 26, 1924 – 7 September 7, 2018), has been described as the Pioneer of Modern Iranian Abstraction.

  • Thursday, February 22, saw tributes paid to Sadegh Tabrizi and his pool of artistic creativity at the Museum of Contemporary Art. The event, concurrent with his birthday, was attended by Director of Visual Arts Center Majid Mollanorouzi, Director of Contemporary Art Museum Ali Mohammad Zare’, as well as A-list artists Aydin Aghdashloo, Hossein Mahjoubi, Yaghoub Emdadian, and Abbas Mashadi-zadeh. Master Tabrizi is one of the few Iranian contemporary artists who have made a great contribution both to the creation and the dissection of Modern art in Iran.
