• TEHRAN.(HONARONLINE) – The plan to loan a collection of Western art from the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art (TMCA) for a show at Berlin’s National Gallery was discussed once again in a meeting held on Sunday between German Ambassador Michael Klor-Berchtold and Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Abbas Salehi, the culture ministry announced.

  • The Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art inaugurated on Sunday a new sculpture gifted by British-German sculptor Tony Cragg. The sculpture is called Roots and Stones. The famous sculptor held an exhibition in Tehran from October 2017 to January 2018.

  • The Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art has moved two bronze statues by Swiss artist Alberto Giacometti into its main building. Acid rain had caused damage to Walking Man 1 and Standing Woman 1, which were located in the courtyard of the museum. The ceremony to transfer the statues to inside the museum was attended by TMCA Curator Ali Mohammad Zare’, Swiss Ambassador in Tehran Markus Leitner as well as experts from the Alberto Giacometti Foundation in Zurich.
