• TEHRAN. (HONARONLINE) – Seven Iranian films have been selected to premiere at Iranian theaters ahead of the Iranian New Year celebration, Nowruz, which will begin on March 20, the Screening Council of the Culture Ministry announced on Wednesday.

  • Special street performances by 6 theatre groups were held outside the main building of Tehran City Theater on the sixth and seventh days of Persian New Year Nowruz, which is a peak season in Iran and several other countries in West Asia.

  • Tehran’s Keshavarz Blvd is hosting a Nowruz fair every evening until Saturday in which you can watch festive programs like painting and caricature exhibitions, music concerts, and street performances. Literally meaning “new day,” Nowruz is the ancient Persian New Year festival celebrated by over 300 million people around the world, including the Middle East, Central and South Asia, and parts of eastern Europe.
