• TEHRAN.(HONARONLINE) - Winners of the 11th Tehran International Cartoon Biennial were honored with awards in three sections of thematic, caricature, and free cartoon during a ceremony on Friday.

  • The 93-year-old doyenne of Iranian art, Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian, has a new museum dedicated to her oeuvre in Tehran. The Monir Museum, which opened Friday in Tehran University Negarestan, a 19th-century former palace and gardens, is the first institution in Iran devoted to a single female artist. Deputy Culture Minister for Artistic Affairs Seyyed Mohammad Mojtaba Hosseini, Majid Mollanorouzi, Mohammad Beheshti, Majid Sarsangi, Farbod Farahi and a number of A-list artists attended the opening ceremony.

  • TEHRAN.(HONARONLINE) - A joint production of Iran and Turkey ‘Beautiful Jinn’, directed by Iranian filmmaker Bayram Fazli, is in the final phase of its edit and will participate in the 36th Fajr Film Festival slated for February 2018.

  • The Fourth Homayoun Khorram (Navaye Khorram) Music Festival wrapped up Friday night in Tehran’s Vahdat Hall. Also known as Navaye Khorram, the national event is dedicated to child and young adult musicians.

  • A ceremony was held in Roudaki Hall to mark the closing of the second edition of Iranian Classical Music Festival in Tehran. The festival is a celebration of the Persian traditional music performed on tar, setar, santur and other traditional musical instruments.

  • The 11th edition of Tehran International Cartoon Biennial came to a close in a special ceremony held in Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art. In attendance was Deputy Culture Minister for Artistic Affairs Seyyed Mohammad Mojtaba Hosseini as well as Kambiz Derambakhsh, Majid Molla-Norouzi, and Masoud Shojaei Tabatabaei.
