• A program was held in the Artistic Affairs Department of the Culture Ministry to honor a group of wounded war veterans. Deputy Culture Minister Seyyed Mohammad Mojtaba Hosseini attended the ceremony on Wednesday.

  • Tehran’s Mellat Cineplex played host to the closing ceremony of the 7th edition of Damonfar Visual Arts Festival. Deputy Culture Minister Seyyed Mohammad Mojtaba Hosseini attended the program and Aydin Aghdashloo headed the jury. The Damonfar Painting Biennial, which is for artists under 25, has been held in Iran since 14 years ago. Damonfar is the Iranian representative of France’s Pebeo and Conson, and Germany’s Faber-Castell, as well as Windsor and Newton - companies that manufacture art materials. Quilo, the Iranian-German company producing markers, is also collaborating in the biennial. Faber-Castel’s managing director in Iran is Seifollah Pouya Rad. The biennial is held with a focus on painting, but works created with Quilo markers have also been added to the side-section programs.

  • Vahdat Hall hosted the closing ceremony of the 8th Fajr Intl. Fashion and Clothing Festival. Deputy Culture Minister Seyyed Mohammad Mojtaba Hosseini and a host of cultural officials, organizers, A-list guests from the Iranian fashion industry, as well as scholars, producers, designers, and industrialists attended the Monday evening ceremony.

  • Vahdat Hall hosted the closing ceremony of this year’s Fajr Music Festival on Tuesday. The participants included Culture Minister Seyyed Abbas Salehi, Deputy Culture Minister Seyyed Mohammad Mojtaba Hosseini, Head of Music Department Ali Torabi, as well as artists, fans and media representatives.

  • The 8th edition of Fajr International Fashion and Closing Festival came to a close in Chabahar Free Trade–Industrial Zone on Sunday. Deputy Culture Minister Seyyed Mohammad Mojtaba Hosseini, CFTIZ Director Abdolrahim Kordi, Director of Institute for Development of Contemporary Art Mahdi Afzali and a host of other officials, foreign dignitaries, fashion artists and designers were in attendance. The annual event opened a space of competition to encourage international participation and facilitate direct contacts between Iranian and foreign companies.

  • On Wednesday, Saba Institute hosted the opening ceremony of the 11th edition of Fajr Visual Arts Festival. Deputy Culture Minister Seyyed Mohammad Mojtaba Hosseini, Head of Visual Arts Office Hadi Mozaffari, and festival’s secretary Ebrahim Haghighi attended the event, along with judges, fans and the general public.
