Soltani, who was working for ILNA and Moj news agencies and several newspapers, had been suffering from cancer for several years.
Earlier last year, he lost his wife in a car crash, which complicated his situation.
Soltani was buried in Tehran’s Behesht-e Zahra Cemetery next to his wife on Saturday.
