Painter, architect, videographer and new-media artist Nikzad Arabshahi, 34, together with sound artist and vibro-acoustic engineer Vedad Famourzadeh, 31, are presenting five new-media installations at Iranshahr Art Gallery.

The exhibition titled ‘Refactor’ displays different art and experience with mapping mathematical from mental algorithms of painting and music by computer codes to audience.

In this exhibition everything has formed immediately by computer. Audience at any moment encounter with new experience of voice and image that are different from before and after moment and won’t be repeat during fair, because of that distinguishes Refactor from other visual exhibitions.

Image section of work which has been done by Arabshahi that its reflection is something that artist has from painterly experience in his mind, this picture is created by algorithms and the output data converts to voice via algorithms that has been designed by Famourzadeh. In fact, the idea is formed by image convert into a code and make the image and image again alter to raw data and then the data converted to the sound.

Arabshahi educated and experienced in architecture and is active in the field of visual and new media. So far, he has exhibited several his collection in the format of solo show, group and collaborative projects in Iran, England, Germany and Luxemburg.

Vedad Famourzadeh graduated in Master of mechanic from Sharif University of Technology and Master of acoustic from research center of France; so far he has participated in some exhibitions in Iran and Australia.

‘Refactor’ The exhibition opened on December 9 and will run through December 16 on all days except Thursdays at Iranshahr Art Gallery, located at No. 69, Sepand Street, Shahid Azodi Street, Karimkhan Blvd. The visiting hours are 6-8:30 pm.
