The exhibition features a selection of artworks of the previously-held workshop on designing typography posters held by the Art and Cultural Organization of the Tehran Municipality.

The exhibition hosts various techniques of typography to show the challenges of the artists’ minds, ILNA wrote.

Ashura, the 10th day of the first month of the Islamic lunar calendar, Muharram, is the climax of the mourning processions for Imam Hussein (PBUH), a grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and his true companions who were martyred in the modern-day Iraqi city of Karbala by the forces of the second Umayyid caliph, Yazid.

Works by Motahhareh Agaahian, Mohammad Ardalani, Bita Afkhami, Mohammad Afshar, Hamid Aqdasi, Mohammad Imanirad, Hamed Sohrabi, Erfan Kamali, Ehsan Moradi, Mehrdad Mousavi, and Masoud Nejabati will be on display.

Laleh Art Gallery in Tehran hosts lovers of typography posters until August 15.
