Ahad Javedani, director general of the Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance in Tehran, and his deputy Meysam Moradi will take part at the opening ceremony, the department reported.
Najafi-Asadollahi who will participate in the exhibition with four artworks, said that it is the fourth show which he is attending in the current Iranian year, adding that he intends to contribute to holding group exhibitions featuring the works of prominent artists.
Speaking about the appellation of the exhibition, he explained that the title, ‘Color of Summer,’ was given to the expo because it is held during the colorful summer season and to highlight the special importance of color in visual arts, especially painting.
Holding the festival both in physical and virtual formats is among the show’s features which facilitates visiting the artworks, he said.
Continuation of cultural activities in the country is the main purpose of holding such exhibitions, he said.
Maryam Vahidnia, communications director of the exhibition, expressed appreciation for the opportunity provided by the Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance in Tehran to hold such exhibitions.
She argues that these shows are influential in the creation of the bond between artists and art lovers and ever-increasing dynamism among art enthusiasts.
The exhibition will feature works by eight artists: Saeedeh Arian, Mina Bahreini, Hamid Ja’fari-Shakib, Kambiz Hazratpour, Bamdad Rezvanian, Abolhassan Riazi, Morad Fattahi, Najafi-Asadollahi, Hassan Norouznia and Behnam Valvand.
The exhibition is underway until August 8. Art lovers can visit the artworks from 12 noon to 6 p.m.
