A series of photos and paintings went on display at Tehran’s Palestine Museum of Contemporary Art to celebrate the 40th anniversary of liberation of Khorramshahr on May 24.

‘The Day of God’ exhibition includes 25 photos by Iranian artists – such as Rasoul Mollaqolipour, Saeid Sadeqi, Kazem Akhavan, and As’ad Naqshbandi – which depict the days that led to the recapture of the southern Iranian city during the Iraqi-imposed war in the 80’s.

Additionally, the ‘Khordad 3rd’ exhibition, held by the Association of Revolution and Holy Defense Visual Arts and Revayat-e Fath Cultural Foundation, will showcase 35 paintings, inspired by one of the most memorable days of Iranian recent history.

The two exhibitions will run until June 2.
