He received the honor in the Monochrome Section for his single photo Wrong Way depicting a man walking backwards in a snowy landscape.
He also received an honorable mention for his photo Protector in this section, while Iranian photographer Amin Dehqan received an honorable mention for Soiree in the Travel section.
The contest is organized by the Photographic Society of America (PSA) and the Federation Internationale de l’Art Photographique (FIAP).
