Calligraphers from Shiraz did calligraphic works by drawing verses from the Holy Quran as pictures that carry the meaning of Laylat al-Qadr or Night of al-Qadr. The event, dubbed Laylat al-Qadr Homework, was organized on 6 June, in collaboration with the Culture Ministry Department of Shiraz, Association of Shiraz Calligraphers, and Endowment and Benevolent Affairs Organization in Fars Province. Laylat al-Qadr is in Islamic belief the night when the first verses of the Quran were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
