Works by 31 Iranian artists, including Hanibal Alkhas, Iraj Eskandari, Farah Osuli, Nasser Ovissi, Iraj Zand, Mahnaz Pesikhani, Nilfar Qaderinejad and Hossein Mahjubi have been selected for the exhibition, which will run until October 13.

In a press release published on Tuesday, the gallery wrote, “With reference to epic collections in Persian classical literature, you will see paintings featuring numerous examples of riders with beautiful horses.”

“Horses still appear on canvases from Iranian artists and using horse motifs has not been shelved in contemporary Iranian painting.”
