The exhibition will be held in Salar Jung Museum of Hyderabad with the collaboration of Iran’s Consulate General in Hyderabad on the occasion of Hafez Day on October 12, IRNA quoted Hashem Mazaheri, head of International Communications at Shiraz Municipality, as saying on Sunday.

Hafez (1315-1390) was a Persian poet whose collected works are regarded by many Iranians as a pinnacle of Persian literature and are often found in the homes of people in the Persian-speaking world.

Mazaheri said that a live performance of calligraphers practicing nasta’liq (one of the main genres of Islamic calligraphy) and artists doing wood carving would be held at the exhibition.

Prominent Indian cultural figures as well as Telangana state official will attend the opening ceremony of the fair, he added.
