The agreement was signed in a meeting, at the ministry’s office in Tehran on Monday, attended by Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Abbas Salehi, Deputy Culture Minister for Art Affairs Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini, and Hamedan Governor General Seyyed Saeid Shahrokhi, IRNA wrote.

Salehi said that it is necessary to pay more attention to the international aspect of the theater festival.

The minister added that the higher quality of children and youth theater plays a key role in having better productions in other types of theaters.

“Holding the festival requires careful attention to all aspects and expert views, and the review of previous editions’ shortcomings could be effective in improving the quality of the festival,” Salehi added.

Shahrokhi said that Hamedan has great experience, capacity and potential in holding major national and international festivals and programs.

Hosseini said that organizing the festival requires cooperation between all executive organizations.

He added expert-level plans are needed to promote the festival to a cultural brand.

The 26th International Children and Youth Theater Festival was held in November 2019 in Hamedan under the supervision of Majid Qannad and with the participation of 52 plays from 13 provinces of our country and seven countries.
