Tehran’s Sangelaj Hall hosted the closing ceremony of this year’s Traditional and Ritual Theater Festival on Saturday. The participants included Culture Minister Seyyed Abbas Salehi, Deputy Culture Minister Seyyed Mohammad Mojtaba Hosseini, as well as artists, fans and media representatives. A non-competitive event, Traditional and Ritual Theater Festival is a venue for artists and researchers of traditional and ritual theater from all over the country. Iran has an old history of traditional and ritual drama, such as Siah Bazi, Ta’zieh, Naqqali, and Kheimeh Shab Bazi, attracting the majority of people through the ages.
