The 50-minute performance is to begin on January 7 at Rooberoo Mansion in Tehran.
Macbeth is a brave and loyal thane to King Duncan at the beginning of the play. After hearing a prophecy from three witches that he will become king himself, Macbeth is overcome by ambition and greed.
Bolstered by the prophecy and his wife’s encouragement, he kills the king and usurps the throne. Amin Eskandarian, Roshanak Khosravi, Saeed Kazemi, Lina Fallah, Adnan Seyyed-Kazemi and Mostafa Karimi are in the cast of the play that will run through January 19.
