48 plays from Iran and eight other countries have been selected to go on stage during the event.

“Solo for Two”, a play from Denmark by Giacomo Ravicchio, along with other plays from Italy, Azerbaijan, France, Russia, Germany, South Korea and Turkmenistan will be staged in the international section.

In addition, several workshops have been organized on the margins of the event. 

Gary Freedman, the co-founder of the Glue Society, a group of directors and artists based in Sydney and New York, will hold the several workshops named “Paper World”.

Henning Fangauf, the deputy director of the Children’s and Young People’s Theatre Centre in Frankfurt, will hold a workshop for theater experts.

Fangauf is also on the jury of the international section of the Hamedan festival along with Hamidreza Naeimi and Ardeshir Salehpur from Iran.

Saeid Asadi and Mahdieh Mahdavi from Iran are scheduled to hold workshops during the festival.  

Hossein Moheb-Ahari, Babak Mohammadi, Maryam Saadat, Ahmad Biglarian and Reza Fayyazi are the jury members of the national section.

The festival will be running until December 6.
