Niaz is in Italy to prepare himself for directing Seven and One Night. After that he will travel to Romania to direct 1+1 in the Bucharest International Theater Festival.
He told Honaronline: 1+1 is a joint production between Iran and Italy. It will go on stage in collaboration between Isfahani theater group Nun Va Aroosake Shargh and Bolognese counterpart La Società della Civetta..
He goes on to add: The play was created in 2012 and since then it has gone on stage in Iran and several cities across the globe, including national and international festivals. We have taken part in international theater festivals in places like Germany, South Korea, China, and Italy. Soon we will perform in the competition section of Bucharest International Theater Festival on October 9-10.
About his new play 1+1 Niaz says: After Bucharest we will perform in the UK, US, and Uganda. In between, there will be international tours as well. Seven and One Night will also go on stage in Bucharest on October 14.
He concludes by saying: Me and Aram Qasemi will write and direct the play. It’s about the poems of Khayyam, Molana and Hafez. There will be a translation of these poems in the Italian language as well. It’s a standalone act.
