A production of Sayeh Theatre Company, ‘The Door’ is a dilemma of the correctness of two women who are set to leave their homeland for Canada, IRNA reported.

The theme is on immigration and two women talk about their unique situation and experience as the play unfolds.

Running for 60 minutes, the show is in English and the two-actor cast includes Shiva Makinian and Mina Zaman.

It was previously performed in the New York Fringe Festival and the 9th Donzdorf International Theater Festival in Germany. It was on stage in Tehran last November.

Sayeh Theatre Group was founded by a group of artists in 2001, with focus on experimental theatre. It aims to achieve new patterns of performance through workshop experience.

Another production of the group ‘The Man and Words’ was earlier staged at Broadway Theater after an impressive reception by American audiences and theater companies in the Midtown International Theatre Festival. It was also staged in Germany, France, Italy, Lithuania and Armenia.

This year’s edition of the festival features 1,200 artists and 160 shows. Toronto’s largest theater festival is organized by Toronto Fringe, a charity organization.
