Iran, Pakistan news agencies sign MoU on media cooperation The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) and the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expand news cooperation.

The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) and the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expand news cooperation.
 
The MoU which consists of 12 articles is valid for a period of one year and shall automatically be renewed for a similar period.

“The parties agree to provide each other their news, photos, and video services in English via the internet, free of cost, which hereinafter be referred to as the ‘services’, for circulation among their subscribers and for display on websites,” said the MoU.

It added that the parties agree to facilitate periodical reciprocal visits of their professional staff to share and exchange each other’s experiences.

It further said the parties shall recommend to their respective governments to provide necessary facilities for technical and executive cooperation to their bureau chiefs and staff in their respective countries on a reciprocal basis.

“The parties may hold short-term and mid-term training courses on a reciprocal basis. The details of the expenses of the said training courses shall be mutually determined through a mutually agreed instrument,” said the MoU.
