Sarvar Bakhti, the head of the Cultural Institute of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) said the above on Sunday in a meeting with Afshin A’la, the cultural advisor to the president of Kish Free Zone, according to ecieco.org.

He pointed the presence of A’la in Kish Free Zone Organization as an exceptional opportunity to expand joint literary cooperation among poets of ECO member countries and added: The Cultural Institute of the Economic Cooperation Organization is fully ready for cooperation in achieving common cultural goals on Kish Island.

During the meeting, A’la thanked the head of the Cultural Institute of the ECO and expressed his memories of his visit to Tajikistan: "Poetry and literature are highly welcome by Tajik people."

He also mentioned some proposed programs for cooperation with ECO Cultural Institute, including opening an ECO poetry office on Kish, awarding Kish Prize to artists from ECO member countries, establishing ECO tourism agency, Iqbal Lahori Prize as the award of the best poet of ECO member states in Kish from next Iranian year, noted: with the increase of interactions between the two sides, Kish will become the youth center of ECO member states.
