Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaeili added a poll shows 70 percent of Iranians believe social activities should resume while observing health protocols.

Esmaeili, however, said the Culture Ministry will again close them if the color of a city will change from orange (medium-risk) to red (high-risk).

A few days earlier, Mohammad Shalouei told Fars News Agency that the ministry has decided to contribute to the returning of normal conditions in the society.

He added the protocols, established by the Health Ministry and the coronavirus taskforce, and social distancing still need to be practiced by moviegoers and concertgoers.

All artists and musical bands are now eligible to request an event license, the deputy minister said, although he insisted the well-being of the fans and artists remains a priority for the ministry.
