Minister: Islamic Revolution has played significant role in female authorship in Iran

The Islamic Revolution has played a very significant role in female authorship in Iran such that, according to statistics from the last Iranian year, there were 8,000 to 10,000 female authors in the country, said Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Abbas Salehi.

This year, the birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatimah coincided with the 10-day dawn celebrations of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

“In the life of the Prophet (PBUH) and in the history of Islam, we have read that there is a special perspective toward women, not only in the time of the Prophet (PBUH) but also in other periods, which were and still are influential in human life. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the Holy Qur’an changed the way women were viewed,” the minister concluded.
