Next year’s festival will be held in February 2023, with the cooperation of the Asia-Pacific region, Pouya Mahmoudian added, according to YJC.

The official noted that the festival helps those interested in Iranian culture, arts and handicrafts to communicate directly with artists.

He noted that compared to last year, this year’s festival witnessed more young artists, female artists and art lovers from rural areas.

A total of 320 artworks created by Iranian craftspeople from various provinces were on display in the 6th edition of the festival, which was held from February 7 to 13.

Metalwork, kilim, taz’hib (illuminated manuscript) monabat (wood carving), needlework, moaraq (inlaid wood) and ceramics are among the handicrafts on display at the festival.

The festival honored five Iranian handcraft artists with the Golden Cypress award, and five more artists received honorary awards.
