The purpose of the 10th Fadjr International Fashion & Clothing Festival is to show symbols of Iranian-Islamic art, said an Iranian official in charge of supervising and controlling fashion and clothing.

Marzieh Shafapour made the statement in a press conference held on February 8.

She added that the festival will be held from February 13-19.

The event will include different sections of science and academia, fabric and scarf design, women's and men’s clothing designs, bags, shoes, and jewelry, she noted.

“We will hold the festival within the framework set by the National Headquarters for Managing and Fighting the Coronavirus; the people’s health is one of the priorities of the policymakers of this event,” she said.

The fashion and clothing festival could not be held online, she noted.

Shafapour added that 2,100 works have been sent to the secretariat of the festival, adding that although the deadline for submitting works has passed, artists are still sending their works.

Organizing workshops, meetings as well as expert panels and discussions in the field of fashion and clothing are other parts of the festival.

It aims to boost cooperation and interaction between designers, producers, and consumers.
