Referring to the Iranian and Tajik high-ranking officials’ determination to expand relations, Saberi expressed Iran’s readiness to develop relations.

The Iranian envoy described the commonalities between Iran and Tajikistan in the cultural field as a great capacity to expand mutual cooperation, saying that Iran has no limitation on reinforcing literary and cultural ties with Tajikistan.

Dispatching cultural delegations to both countries, holding exhibitions to show the latest achievements of the two states, and holding cultural days are among potential cooperation, Saberi noted.

The Iranian diplomat stressed holding scientific, literary and cultural seminars.

Nezam Qasem hailed various cultural commonalities between Iran and Tajikistan, which could lead to further cooperation.

Iran was the first country to recognize Tajikistan’s independence in 1992 and opened an embassy in Dushanbe, he added.

Speaking about the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the countries, he offered Tajikistan readiness to hold commemoration ceremonies for Iranian and Tajik poets and writers.

He also welcomed publishing Tajik literati’s works in Iran in order to deepen understanding.
