The event is aimed at strengthening cultural and historical ties between Iran and Georgia with the participation of cultural consultation of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to Iran's Cultural Attaché in Georgia Hamid Mostafavi, 24 articles were presented by the university students of Georgia, Iran, Russia, and Bangladesh.

Referring to the historical and cultural relations between Iran and Georgia, Mostafavi said: “In recent years, scientific and cultural cooperation between the universities of the two states has expanded, with universities playing very effective roles in cementing bilateral and regional relations.”

Kakhaber Kordzaia, a Caucasus International University rector, said the presentations in international conferences would enhance interaction and relations with pundits and intellectuals.

Iran's Ambassador to the Caucasus Akbar Qassemi said that the geopolitical position of Iran and Georgia and a long history of political and cultural relations are so important, emphasizing the necessity of using the elite, students, and university lecturers in the region and their knowledge about bilateral and regional relations.

The current level of relations between Iran and Georgia is not satisfactory and should be upgraded through cooperation of both countries' scientific and research centers, Iran's envoy added.
