Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Abbas Salehi announced on Saturday that all cultural events will be held in hybrid form of in-person and online in the coming months.

“Since we are going to organize more festivals in the coming months, we will be heading towards a combination of virtual and physical events in the art and cultural arena, and all the programs of the culture ministry that were held last year will be also be held this year, and even the Tehran International Book Fair, which was canceled in May, will be held in December,” he noted.

Touching upon the recently-held Isfahan International ‎Film Festival for Children and Youth, the minister said that although it was not as exciting as previous editions, its online format made it no longer limited to the children of Isfahan; all children in Iran could take part.

He noted that in the field of dramatic arts, the Ministry of Culture makes great attempt to record festival performances and make them available on specific online platforms.

Therefore, artists continue their work and those who are interested in this field can follow the latest works of art, Salehi added.
