Born in Qazvin in 1919, Dabir-Siaqi was one of the scholars who began working with Dehkhoda in 1947. The collaboration went on after Dehkhoda passed away in 1959.

On Dehkhoda’s recommendation, he went into partnership with Persian lexicographer Mohammad Moin at the Dehkhoda Lexicon Institute to complete the Dehkhoda Dictionary.

He was the writer of over 80 books and articles on various subjects in Persian literature.

He made corrections on a copy of Ferdowsi’s epic masterpiece Shahnameh. He also corrected copies of books from classical Persian literature such the Nuzhat al-Qulub by Hamdollah Mostowfi, and the Divan of Manuchehri by Ahmad Manuchehri Damghani.
