The huge 180x135cm copy has been inscribed on two large silver and gold plates by Rain Akbarkhanzadeh, an artist from Isfahan. 

According to Akbarkhanzadeh, a total of 610 silver pieces weighing 60,000 grams as well as 1,000 grams of gold have been used in the book while the back cover of the book bears beautiful embossed patterns.

The tiny 16x12cm copy bears 800 grams of gold, 1.7 kg silver and an 8-carat diamond. 

The first night of the auction, which is dedicated to classical Iranian artworks, fetched over 17 billion rials. 

The second night grossed over 160 billion rials (over $3.6 million based on the dollar’s official market exchange rate i.e. 44,000 rials for $1).
