“There has been an increase in the relations between Iran and Germany over the past few years,” Salehi at the meeting, which was held his office.

“Particularly, the positive atmosphere created after the nuclear deal under Mr. Rouhani’s administration opened a new chapter of cooperation between Iran and Germany,” he added.

He said that Iran and Germany have enormous potential to collaborate on cinema, art, music, publications and so many other cultural fields.

Salehi also added that Iran welcomes any plan from Germany to participate in the cultural festivals arranged to commemorate the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution during January and February.    

Klor-Berchtold also said that Iran and Germany can boost their relations by the expansion of cultural ties and added that his country is ready to collaborate with Iran on music, cinema, publications and theater.
