Eight publishers, three universities, five cultural institutes and three literary agencies are among the participants at the fair running from August 23 to 27, Iran Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI) director Amir-Masud Shahramnia said in a press release published on Tuesday.

“18 publishers have also announced their willingness to represent their works at the fair,” Shahramnia added.

However, he said that interested applicants still have time before June 20 to announce their readiness to attend the fair.

“We would like to have more active participation and we should not forget that China is one of the best book markets for Iranians,” he remarked.

A pavilion covering an area of 500-square meters has been dedicated to Iran at the Beijing fair.
