The film has already achieved some other accomplishments, including receiving Golden Boll for Best Actor at Adana Film Festival 2020, Yellow Umbrella for Best International Feature-Length Film at Balkan Panorama Film Festival 2021, Best Narrative Feature Film Award at FAFF The Fine Arts Film Festival 2022, Special Jury Award for Best Foreign Feature Film at London City Film Awards 2021, Don Quixote Award for Best Feature Film at Nepal International Film Festival 2022 and as Best Film at Torino Underground Cinefest 2021.
“Silenced Tree” which was co-produced by Turkey and Iran will go on silver screens in Iran soon.
Regarding the plot summary of the film, “A short while after his dominant wife abandons the wimpy and meek Hayati, who is a literary teacher in a patriarchal town, the police find an unrecognized female corpse by the lake. Hayati gets arrested and accused of murder”.
Ali Mert Yavuzcan, Sezin Akbasogullari, Serdar Orçin are among the cast members of “Silenced Tree”.
